Dr Foster has conducted a number of consultancies for companies on mine tailings, environmental monitoring of leachate, phytostabilisation / remediation of tailings and overburden.
We have expertise in the sampling and analysis of acid sulfate soils for pre-works assessments and sampling and analysis of contaminated soils, terrestrial and marine sediments.
ENVIRONMENTAL RISK ASSESSMENT
We can provide services in risk assessment and management with respect to impacts to aquatic and terrestrial systems. Using a combination of modelling and sampling programs, we can build more certainty around understanding your project risks and potential opportunities. The data generate can be used to assess environmental impacts, help developing monitoring programs and highlight the benefits between various project options.

SCIENTIFIC SERVICES
We have expertise in designing, development and training in a range of analytical and scientific methods. We have published a number of papers in peer reviewed journals on methods for the measurement of metals and metalloids in environmental and clinical samples.
We can develop analytical methods for sub ppt elemental analysis of seawaters, fresh and environmental samples, speciation of As, Hg, Se, and Sb. We can also assist in method development and validation of elemental organometallic and organic analysis using a range of instruments such as ICPMS, GF-AAS, FIA, HG-AFS, AFS, GC-FID/MS, HG/CV-AAS, IC/GC/LC-ICPMS, LC-MS/MS among others.
We also have high level expertise in designing complex experimental protocols for ecotoxicological studies, sediment metal or nutrient flux rates using in situ benthic domes and laboratory based core incubations. Design of water quality and suitability studies and statistical analysis of monitoring programs.
